The accession consists of correspondence, manuscripts, audio recordings of interviews and seminars, scientific articles, newspaper clippings, and other printed material documenting the work of author Daniel Behrman. This accession does not constitute the entire working files of Mr. Behrman, but largely documents his work on two books: A History of the Foundation for Ocean Research and, a biography of John Dove Isaacs. The accession includes audio tape recordings of a series of interviews conducted by Daniel Behrman before 1980 on the history of oceanography and the contributions of John Dove Isaacs.
